GrubGo - A Sales App for Food Trucks

Project Overview:
The problem:

Long wait times and crowded food truck environments diminish the dining experience for customers.

The goal: 
 

A mobile app that allows users to order ahead, enabling them to skip the lines and enjoy their favorite food truck dishes more conveniently.

User Research: Summary
Research Objectives:
 
  1. Identify challenges and needs from both food truck owners and customers.

  2. Explore how the GrubGo app can enhance the food truck experience for both parties.

  3. Gather insights on desired features that address their specific pain points.

Research Methodology:
 

In order to understand the problem, and the users needs I conducted in person interviews with 10 customers and 2 food truck owners.Focused on experiences, frustrations, and desired features from both perspectives.

Usability Testing:
Insights:
  • Dine-In Option Unnecessary: The "Dine-In" option isn't needed, as it only applies to customers who visit the food truck directly.

  • Pick-Up Enhancement: Add a feature for customers to choose their preferred eating location when selecting pick-up, improving convenience.

  • ​Clearer User Flow: Eliminating unnecessary options like dine-in will make the user interface cleaner and navigation faster.
