Outcome

Designed a user-friendly platform that promotes dog adoption & raises awareness about animal welfare.

PROJECT OVERVIEW
Unleashed Love is a dog adoption platform that connects caring families with dogs in need.

Designed a user-friendly platform to promote dog adoption and fostering, simplified the application process, and raise awareness about animal welfare. Focused on creating intuitive navigation, detailed pet profiles, and donation integration

Many people want to help dogs in need but feel overwhelmed by confusing adoption processes, scattered information, and lack of clarity on how to foster or donate

Challenge

" This often leads to hesitation and fewer dogs
   finding homes."

The goal was to design and develop a user-friendly platform that promotes dog adoption & raise awareness about animal welfare.

Solution

My Role

led research, UX flows, and interface design to simplify dog adoption and boost engagement.

  • Conducted competetive analysis and surveys to gather insights

  • Defined user flows, wireframes, and prototypes for intuitive design

  • Collaborated with stakeholder to align design with the mission

  • Iterated on designs based on feedback for optimization

Kick-off
meeting

Defined project scope, goals, and key success metrics. Aligned on audience and priorities: adopters, fosters, and donors

To ensure the platform addressed real user needs, I conducted both qualitative and competitive research:

Research

User Research

The research process included three main components:

  1. Background Questions:
I asked participants about their experiences with adoption and fostering to understand their motivations and challenges.

  2. Exploring User Needs and Expectations:
Participants shared their desired features and functionalities for an ideal adoption/foster website.

  3. Prioritization of Features:
Participants were asked to rank the most important features they would expect from the platform, helping us identify key areas to focus on during development.

I conducted surveys(8 participants) and interview(4 participants) with potential adopters and past donors. Here are the main takeaways:

Key Insights

Detailed pet profiles, including images and descriptions, are a must for users to make informed decisions, so these should be prominently featured on the site.

Many users learned about adoption or fostering through friends and family, so incorporating shareable features and social media tools can help spread awareness.

Many users are driven by the desire to save an animal’s life

A significant number of users are interested in donating, so the website should clearly highlight donation opportunities and make them easy to access.

Easy and intuitive navigation is crucial to keep users engaged and ensure a smooth experience.

Usability Testing (7).png

The analysis highlighted best practices and pain points, guiding us to design a clearer adoption process and more prominent donation features.

Ideation

Based on research insights, I developed the website’s information architecture
